About the Annual Report Template
The Annual Report Template is designed to provide a concise and consistent overview of the activities and development of the NASU FAIR Data Competence Center during the reporting year.
It brings together quantitative information derived from the Activity Indicators and Monitoring Form with qualitative descriptions of significant activities, completed cases, partnerships, achievements and constraints.
The report is not intended to reproduce the complete monitoring register. Instead, it summarises the information required to understand what the Center has done, what results have been achieved and how its services and organisational capacity have developed.
The template should therefore be used together with the current Activity Indicators and Monitoring Form.

Reporting period, organisational context and significant institutional changes.
2. Main activities
Overview of consultations, training, data support, curation and methodological work.

How to prepare the annual report
Annual reporting should be based primarily on information collected throughout the year rather than reconstructed retrospectively.
1. Consolidate
Collect monitoring data
Consolidate entries from the Monitoring Form for the reporting year.
2. Analyse
Calculate indicators
Aggregate information according to the current Activity Indicators.
3. Explain
Add context
Explain significant results, changes, constraints and exceptional cases.
4. Report
Complete the report
Present the consolidated results using the standard annual report structure.
Reporting principles
The annual report should provide a balanced account of activities, outputs and results. Quantitative indicators should be supported by sufficient qualitative context to explain their significance.
The report should distinguish completed activities from planned work and should identify significant constraints where they affected the Center’s capacity to deliver services or achieve planned results.
Personal, confidential or restricted information should not be included in the public version of the report unless its publication is authorised.
Annual reporting should support institutional accountability and improvement of the Center’s work rather than serve only as a quantitative record of completed activities.
Monitoring and reporting workflow
The Annual Report Template is the final component of the Center’s monitoring and reporting framework.
2. Record
Monitoring Form
Collects the operational information required during the reporting period.
3. Report
Annual Report Template
Consolidates monitoring information and presents the annual results.
Document access and version control
The Annual Report Template should be made available in an editable format suitable for preparing the annual report. A PDF reference version may also be published.
Each version should indicate its status, version number, date of publication or approval and the body responsible for maintaining the template.
Changes to the reporting structure should be coordinated with the Activity Indicators and Monitoring Form to maintain consistency across reporting periods.
Users should verify that they are using the current template before preparing the report for a new reporting year.
