Data Café
Data Café is a practical consultation format for research groups that need joint expert support in preparing datasets, metadata, README files, workflows or FAIR data packages for publication, reuse and integration with DataverseUA, OpenAIRE or EOSC-related services.
What is Data Café?
Data Café is an interactive working session focused on a specific research data case. It is based on real materials provided by a research group: a dataset, folder structure, README draft, metadata, workflow description, publication, model or software.
When to use Data Café
Data Café is useful when a request cannot be resolved by a short consultation or a simple template: complex datasets, multi-stage workflows, incomplete metadata, licensing questions or EOSC/OpenAIRE preparation.
Who participates
A session may involve representatives of the research group, data curators, data stewards, domain experts, repository representatives and members of the Competence Center team.

When a request may go to Data Café
If a case requires joint discussion between researchers, data curators, domain experts and infrastructure representatives, the Competence Center may propose a Data Café session as an interactive format for finding a practical solution.
