Webinar Programme “FAIR Data, the EOSC Federation and the DataverseUA Repository”

Pursuant to Order No. 324 of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine dated 2 July 2025, “On the Implementation and Support of Open Science at Institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine,” Kyiv Academic University (the NASU Research Data Management Competence Center), jointly with the Bogolyubov Institute for Theoretical Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, will hold the online webinar “FAIR Data, the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Federation and the DataverseUA Repository” on 8–9 October 2026 for researchers and postgraduate students from institutions of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

On 8 October, lectures will cover the FAIR principles, FAIR data and research data management, as well as the structure and functions of the EOSC Federation.

On 9 October, lectures will cover the functionality of DataverseUA, the Open Research Data Repository of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine; FAIR data; and the preparation of research data management plans. Practical sessions will introduce authors of datasets and data stewards to using the DataverseUA Repository, including uploading and organising data; metadata and data identification; licences and terms of distribution; data publication; and dataset management.

Target audience — postgraduate students, early-career researchers and research staff of NASU research institutions and Core Facility Centres, as well as university academic and teaching staff, particularly specialists who provide advisory support for depositing research data in DataverseUA, the Open Research Data Repository of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Registered participants who complete the webinar training and pass the final test are expected to receive certificates confirming completion of 12 hours (0.4 ECTS credits) of professional development training.
